Alex Neil has a goalkeeping problem. He has now managed to offload Chris Maxwell to Charlton for the foreseeable future. It is unclear if the two have had a bust up but Maxwell has not been involved as the number one for some time.
Mistakes last season cost Preston points which coud have put them in the top six. Rudd has been equally to blame this season and after Sunday it is clear that Crowe is not upto the task.
Hudson has been recalled from Bury but is not ready for Championship football. By allowing Maxwell to go it does seem that there is an option open to Neil to bring in a keeper during the January window.
