Point On The Board

North End twice took the lead way at Carrow Road against a Norwich side which are expected to be amongst the front runners to return straight back to the top flight.

Preston were awarded a penalty early on which Sinclair converted. Norwich levelled before the break with a header from Pukki. Rudd, making his first start of the season should have done better as he failed to protect his near post.

A surging run by Sinclair in the second period set up an attack. Norwich failed to clear their lines and the ball ended up at the feet of Fisher. The unlikely attacker smashed the ball home to give Preston the lead.

Unfortunately Preston could not hold on as Placheta equalised as the clock ticked down. Rudd made an excellent save late on to keep the scores level and Preston will look to build on this result.
