Storey Fits Preston Mould

In recent times Preston have had to adjust their recruitment policy especially when faced with clubs in the Championship spending significantly larger sums of money on one transfer which often exceed Preston's entire transfer budget.

North End have looked to a mix of young professionals either unable to get a game at big top flight clubs or lower league youngsters who have progressed along with a few experienced professionals.

Storey had a good season at Exeter ending up in play off defeat. The centre back is young and eager to progress. It is clear that Preston were always looking to beef up their backline and at some point there is going to be a change from the old guard of Clarke and Huntington.

Last season Ben Davies made a fantastic impact at the back and if Storey can have a similar impact then defensively the future will be bright for Preston.
