Preston continued their pre-season with a hard match away at WRexham.

After playing last night for Southampton in a pre-season friendly, Southampton have opened talks to try and sign the midfielder.

Darren Ferguson has confirmed that Preston are in talks with former Norwich midfielder Darrel Russell.

Darren Carter played his third game of the pre-season for his second club and has not lost yet.
