PNE took the lead in the 16th minute with Michael McLellan getting on the end of a cross from Reece James to loop a header over Latics goalkeeper Shaun Routledge.
Just past the half hour PNE doubled the lead as McLellan scored his second on the night from a Brandon Zibaka’s pass.
With just over 15 minutes to go the Lilywhites made it 3-0 from substitute Naim El-Harrati with a 25 yard shot.
