A young PNE side lost 2-0 earlier today in the first match of the Totesport.com League Cup.

First half goals from Bowman (20 minutes) and Salem (40 minutes)  gave victory to Carlisle in the first of three round-robin matches in the League Cup. The other two matches will be against Morecambe and Tranmere.

Daryl Russel played the full 90 minutes in the otherwise youthful Lilywhites side.
