Although classed as an away match the game was played at Bamber Bridge with PNE starting with three first teamers in Lonergan, Parry and Russell. It was Paul Parry who gave the Lilywhites the lead on 70 minutes. The lead was doubled with almost the last kick of the match from Brandon Zibaka.
Preston extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches with PNE gaining 34 out of a possible 36 points since their last league defeat to the hands of Burnley on 6 October.
