The Preston side had a slightly unfamiliar look as Wilson the only recognised defender not playing on Tuesday night was asked to fill in at right back with winger Lewis Neal playing at left back. Youngster Warren Beattie partnered Brian O'Neill at centre back.

Prestton went a goal down but equalised through Neil Mellor who is now ever closer to fitness after lasting 65 minutes. He started the game alongside Andy Smith who only last 35 minutes before his knee trouble flared up again. Joe Anyinsah also played gaining some much needed fitness despite Tuesday nights appearance.
