Preston travelled to Wrexham with a youtful second string on Wednesday night due to the cup replay the previous night. However, Preston kept up a strong season in the reserve league by winning away at Wrexham with two goals from youngster Howard. Preston are now unbeaten in 12 games in the reserve league.
