Mellor played alongside Ormerod who also got two with Whaley scoring the other. Mellor has twiddled his thumbs for many months now in the reserves banging in goals almost with his eyes closed only to be given a short run in the first eleven. He must now surely be pushing for a place in the starting eleven this Saturday after showing good form over the last few weeks.
