Goals from Scott Leather, Luke Clark & Doyle Middleton saw Preston home, which has seen PNE win ten and draw two of their last twelve matches since their last league defeat on 16 October.
Preston remain in fourth position with 35 points from 19 matches, but will have put pressure on the top two, Port Vale and Rochdale, who also met over the weekend.
The youths next match is on Monday with a LFA Youth Cup Semi Final tie against Bury.
