Ryan Croasdale opening the scoring for PNE midway through the first half before two further just after half time from goals just before half time from Brendon Ziobaka and Matt Greenwood to give the Lilywhites a 3-0 first half lead.
Blackpool pulled one back just after half time but PNE restored the three goal lead on 75 minutes from Jack Ryan. Preston then made it 5-1 five mintes later when Matt Greenwood scored his second of the match.
