Old Boy Weekend Round Up

Last updated : 17 March 2008 By @pnemad
The most memorable moment of all the ex-North Ender's this weekend will surely be that of Brian Mcbride who headed home the winning goal for Fulham against old boss David Moyes who ironically brought Mcbride to Deepdale. Mcbride's deader secured a valuable win for Fulham who are still in the relegation zone.

Dropping down a level to the Championship where many ex-North End players could be found amongst them were Jon Macken at Bransley and Franck Songo'o at Shff Wed who both picked up bookings.

Old boys Nash, Pugh, Gallagher, Fuller and Cresswell (need I go on?) are now top of the league with Stoke after a goalless draw with Watford. Patrick Agyemang also bagged his ninth goal after his switch in January to QPR.

In League One, Brian Stock is flying high with Doncaster and has also been called up to the full Wales squad for an international friendly next week. Alan Mccormack scored a last minute winner for Southend to keep up their play off hopes with a victory away at Huddersfiels whilst on loan Brett Ormerod scored for Nottingham Forest in a one all draw against Walsall.

Polish striker Pawel Abbott netted two goals in Darlington's win over Grimsby to keep them in the promotion hunt in League Two. Paul Simpson had alosing start at Shrewsbury when they went down 2-1 to Macclesfield with ex-player Dave Hibbert scoring for the Shrews.

Look out for more updates on all our old boys from now until the end of the season.
