Wiley at the age of 48 is one of the most experienced referees on the circuit having started in 1981 with the West Midiands Regional Leagues before being promoted to the Football League assistant's referee's list in 1991 and to the Premier League three years later.

He was added to the Football League referee's list 1995 and to the Premier League List in 1999 from which he has spent the most of his career since.

This season he has produced 47 yellow and 2 red cards whith his last game being the 2-2 draw between Liverpool and Hull last weekend. Last season saw him produced 126 yellow and 2 red cards.

His assistants are Glenn Turner from Derbyshire and Phil Sharp of Hertfordshire. The fourth official is Jarnail Singh of Middlesex.
