Andre takes charge of another Play Off Semi at Deepdale

Andre Marriner began refereeing in 1992, and progressed via the Birmingham Amateur Football League and the Southern League before becoming a Football League assistant referee in 2000

Marriner took charge of the 2003 Inaugural Conference Play Off Final between Doncaster and Dagenham & Redbridge. His appointment to the Football League List of referees took place at the start of the 2003/04 season and his first game was a 1-0 win for Oxford at Lincoln on 9 August 2003 with Lincoln reduced to ten men on the half hour. He was given his first Premiership match on 13 November 2004 as Charlton beat Norwich 4-0

Marriner was added to the Select Group of referees in 2005 and in the same year, he refereed the FA Youth Cup Final between Southampton and Ipswich

Marriner was appointed as fourth official for The FA Community Shield between Portsmouth and Manchester United.

On 20 December 2008, it was confirmed that Marriner, along with Stuart Attwell, would be invited to join the list of international referees for 2009.

He has produced 104 yellow and 7 red cards in 32 matches this season. One of the red cards came for Henderson as the Blades drew 1-1 at Swansea on 13 December 2008.

His assistants are Patrick Keane from West Midlands and Mick Kinseley from Essex. The fourth official is Anthony Taylor from Greater Manchester who took charge of he 1-1 draw at Barnsley in December.
