Scott Duncan was promoted to a Football League referee following being in the Blue Square Premier.

His league debut was a 3-0 home win for Port Vale against Barnet on 18 August 2012. The 2012/13 season also saw him referee in the Scottish League Division Three and has produced half of his eight red cards North of the Border.  Last season, five of the six red cards came in his last seven matches of the season.

His last match was a 2-1 win for Sheffield United at Peterborough on 19 August. His last Oldham match was a 0-0 draw at home to Brentford on 29 April 2014.
