East goes South

Roger East joined the National List of assistant referees in 2000 before his promotion, in 2007, to the National List of referees. His first match as Referee was a 3-3 draw between Macclesfield and MK Dons on 18 August 2007.

 

As an assistant referee he was on the Select Group for four seasons and the FIFA list for two. Domestic highlights of his career include assistant referee appointments on the 2003 League Two Football League Play Off Final, the 2004 FA Cup Final and the 2006 Community Shield.

 

His last Cardiff match was the goalless draw at home to QPR on 25 February 2009, whist his last game was in the FA Cup Second Round tie on 28 November as Notts County won 2-1 at Bournemouth.
