Carl Boyeson started refereeing on the Hull Sunday League in 1992, promoted via the Unibond League to the National List of assistant referees in 1996 then to the select Group of assistant referees in 2000. He then joined the National List of referees in 2002. He has refereed two semi finals of the FA Vase and was 4th Official for the FA Youth Cup Final in 2000.

 

His first league game was on 18 August 2002 when Bury beat Swansea 3-2 with Steve Watkin of the Swans receiving a red card. His first Championship game was the Ipswich v PNE match later in that season.

Phil Gibbs has been a qualified referee since 1993. He officiated as a referee in the 2007 Sunday Cup Final at Anfield and as Fourth Official in the 2005 Women’s FA Cup Final.

He joined the National List of Referees in 2008 and took charge of his first league match on 7 August 2008 as Shrewsbury beat Macclesfield 4-0.
