Christopher Kavanagh was promoted to the Conference for the 2012/13 season at the age of 26. In November 2013 he was selected to the prestigious 2014 Dallas Cup.
After two seasons in the Conference he was promoted to the Football League for the 2014/15 season. His first Football League match was a 2-1 home win for Burton against Dagenham & Redbridge on 16 August 2014.
After three League Two matches this will be the first time he has taken charge of a League One team. His last match was a 0-0 draw between York & Wycombe on 30 August.
