Rare white stone robin sighted

Dean Whitestone started in senior football in 1993 in Northampton and came through the United Counties and Southern Leagues to reach the National List of Assistant Referees in 2001. He was promoted to the Referees’ List during the 2005/06 season, making his league debut on 22 October 1995 in a 0-0 draw between Notts County and Carlisle. He also refereed the Conference Play Off Final in 2006 when Hereford beat Halifax 3-2.

His last game was on 30 October when he reduced Aldershot to nine men as they lost 3-1 at home to Bury, he also produced seven yellow cards in that match. This will be his second game in a week as he is due to referee the Chesterfield v Accrington match on Tuesday.

 

This will be his first match as a referee at Ashton Gate but took charge of the Robins 0-0 draw at Swansea on 15 September 2009.
