Wright On

Last updated : 27 April 2011 By @pnemad

Kevin Wright played amateur football until he was 25 and decided to become a referee when he broke his wrist for the fifth time and felt it wouldn’t stand up to any further physical football challenges.

He joined the National list of Referees in 2003 and took charge of his first match on 9/8/03 when Southend beat Cheltenham 2-0.

His last match was Sheffield United’s 3-2 win at Reading on 25 April. His last Ipswich was the 2-0 defeat at QPR on 22 February.
