Steve Tanner from Somerset is the man in charge of Preston's match this Saturday at Hillsborough against Sheffield Wednesday.

Tanner is not a good omen after refereeing Preston's defeat at Turf Moor and sending off Davis and Dichio at Sellhurst Park last season - he later rescinded Dichio's sending off.

Tanner has shown 52 yellow cards and two red in 22 games this season.
