He became the first choice goalkeeper only missing one match in 1997/98 as Celtic won the Scottish Premier League title. Gould won his second title in 2000/01 when he made 15 appearances. He also won the League Cup three times in 1997/98, 1999/2000 and 2000/01 and received an FA Cup runners-up medal in 1998/99 in the defeat against Rangers.
