A Look Ahead At Friday Night's Live Game At Wolves

The first week of the league season was always going to be tough for Paul Simpson with three games in less than a week with two away from home one a long journey to Norwich and back.

After drawing blanks in the first two games Preston go in search of a league goal but options are limited. Simpson played at Norwich with lone frontman Nugent who became frustrated until Agyemang came from the bench with support. Dichio was injured for the Norwich clash but is set to return for Friday. However, it has been rumoured that a new striker could be at Deepdale before Friday's game. No names have been mentioned but a loan option for a Premier League striker has thought to have been struck up by the club.

Preston do not have worries just up front. Long term injuries are effecting almost every position on the field and that is added to the probably suspension of captain Alexander for the next three matches. Preston will be fielding an inexperienced defence and a team without a true leader. A new captain will have to be appointed for the forthcoming games.

It is likely that there will only be a small following from Preston travelling down the M6 due to the timing of the match, the high ticket prices and the fact the match is to be broadcast live on Sky. The only positive news at the moment for North End is that despite a Wolves win last night they will be without striker Carl Cort and no new injuries were picked up by North End.
