Can Away Day Blues Be Cured

Preston have not won away since a four nil thrashing of Coventry in April and that is the only one in what has been a miserable few months away from Deepdale.

Preston may be enforced into changes with goalscorer Gallagher limping off before the end of Preston's victory against Sheffield Wednesday. The striker who played on the left wing was replaced by Pugh who may well start should Gallagher not return.

Another concern is Darren Carte who took a knock during the game. It is unsure if he will have recovered in time to start on Tuesday which will leave Simpson with a midfield problem.

The back four plus Lonergan are likely to remain the same after keeping a clean sheet. The front two at this point could be anyone from several players. Agyemang looks to have favour at the moment alongside youngster Carroll. Mellor, Ormerod and Hawley are all waiting in the wings.
