Bamber Bridge Vs Preston North End

Pre-season Friendly KO 19:00

That time is upon us once again where the training cones and bibs are replaced with human beings in the form of a pre-season run-out.

Darren Ferguson's men are back from their gruelling training camp in Spain and now have six games in which to prepare themselves for an equally gruelling Championship season ahead.

In recent years North End have sent a squad of players to both Iron Gate and Victory Park. This is so that a Preston XI can face Bamber Bridge and Chorley respectively on the same night. However, Darren Ferguson has decided to tackle both teams with the same squad meaning that it is Brig up first.

Previous Meetings

Almost exactly a year ago North End ran out comfortable 4-1 winners against Brig with goals from Parkin, Trotman, Proctor and Smyth sealing the win.

The year previous, however, the result wasn't quite as comprehensive. A late Richard Chaplow goal secured a 1-0 win.

Team News

New boys Wayne Brown and Craig Morgan are expected to get a runout in North End's maiden pre-season outing.
