Last year North End ran out comfortable winners with a 3-0 win over the Magpies thanks to goals from Darren Carter, Karl Hawley and Chris Brown.

Due to a bout of tonsillitis Craig Morgan and Paul Coutts sat out the 6-1 demolition over Bamber Bridge. The pair are not expected to feature on Friday either and will instead have to wait before making their pre-season bow.
