Chorley Vs Preston North End
Pre-Season Friendly KO 19:00
The second and final part of North End's non-league double header kicks off on Friday when Darren Ferguson's side make the short trip to Victory Park to take on Chorley.
The Magpies and the Lilywhites will be battling it out for the Jack Kirkland Trophy when they meet this coming Friday. However, the much coveted prize is a mere footnote in what will be a game all about fitness ahead of the new season.
Last year North End ran out comfortable winners with a 3-0 win over the Magpies thanks to goals from Darren Carter, Karl Hawley and Chris Brown.
Due to a bout of tonsillitis Craig Morgan and Paul Coutts sat out the 6-1 demolition over Bamber Bridge. The pair are not expected to feature on Friday either and will instead have to wait before making their pre-season bow.
Much like on Tuesday night at the QED Stadium, two separate XI's are expected to feature in each half for the Lilywhites. However, due to the aforementioned absentees, one or two individuals might be asked to play the full 90.
