North End Hope To End Winless Run

Since we last played each other a little over a month ago, Preston have been unbeaten whilst Luton have failed to pick up a single point.

Preston should be wary as Luton are now a severely wounded animal looking to restore some pride ahead of the Christmas festivities.

Simpson was dealt a blow today as reserve keeper Neal was injured in a mid week friendly game against Bolton. He will be out for up to 3-4 months with lnee ligament damage. The blow was softened as Andy Lonergan returns from his loan spell and will take up a place on the bench on Saturday.

Agyemang is also set to be touch and go after not being fully fit all season and struggling on. However, on a more positive note St Ledger who went off for a bout of double vision on Tuesday is set to be fine ahead of the trip to Kenilworth Road.

Preston willlook to maintain their lead at the top of the table but this will be no easy achievement with Luton pulling out all the stops for a much needed victory and the chasing pack breathing down Preston's neck.
