Preston Search For Mor Away Points

Consistency in selection has been the key for Alan Irvine as performances and results have improved over recent weeks. The team is likely to remain the same except for the midfield where captain Mckenna faces a race to be fit. should the injured skipper not make it then Darren Carter is expected to stand in.

Mellor and Gallagher are set to be given a run in the side after striking up an impressive partnership last weekend at Turf Moor. Agyemang's future at the club is now doubtful after rejecting a contract and rumours of club's interested in the Ghanain international.

The back four will be looking for a solid performance as Irvine looks to tighten things up to get North End out of trouble.

Whaley may well be the key after his recent good performances but North End are under no illusion that this game will be as far away as can be from the early season 5-1 thrashing of Southampton at Deepdale.
