Preston played well for moments in the match taking the lead thanks to Brett Ormerod but this was cancelled out in the second half by Taylor. Late drama ensued with a controversial penalty in the last minute given against Matt Hill. Taylor duly converted and a worrying pre-season trend has appeared with Preston appearing to not convert whilst on top and ending up without a victory.
Preston now return home to face Forest Green before returning to Deepdale to play local rivals Blackburn Rovers on Saturday before the start of the season.
