Preston have had 20 applications from people within the game and a lot more speculative CV's from outside of the game. Risdale hopes to whittle that list down over the next few days and intends to speak to the joint caretakers to see if they intend to apply for the position.
Risdale has confirmed there is no clear direction as to whether the club will appoint from within or externally but he will conduct a thorough review before narrowing down the candidates. It is most likely that an appointment will be made after the Christmas period.
