North End were reqarded for their victory on the South coast against Bournemouth with a 4th Round League Cup tie at the opposite end of the country in the North East where they will face Newcastle.
The game will be played at the end of October meaning the sides will play each other twice in a matter of days as the pair meet at Deepdale int he league.
Preston have never gone beyond the 4th Round in this competition and it will be interesting to see how both sides approach the game.
