Away Point A Forest

Preston sit comfortably in mid-table as they go into the Christmas games which is probably a true refelection of the season so far. They have deficiencies which mean that presently they are not consistently competing for a top six place but they are presently in some sort of comfort well above the bottom three.

The match at Forest was almost a ninety minutes of where Preston are at. The home side have had a poor season lurking in lower mid-table and anywaone with top six aspirations would be hopeful of a win.

North End dominated the first half but only scored one goal through Makienok just before the break. Over the past season and a half it has become patently obvious that Preston lack any player with an ability to score 15 plus goals in a season whch would probably see them in the top six.

If Preston ahd a proven goalscorer then they may have gone in the break by two or three goals. Instead it was a single strike from Makienok. There was always going to be a comeback and Forest equalised through a Maxwell own goal.

Neither side could find a winner despite opportunities and Preston now head to Bristol City who have also slipped below North End in the table.
