The game was initially set to go ahead with Brown worried about his players fitness after playing two games a wek for the past month with every away game being at least in the capital if not further away.
The problem was compounded by the JPT game where Brown has to field a strongish side this mid-week against Moreacambe. Initially only Hume and Daley had only been called up meaning the Sheff Utd game had to go ahead as you need three call-ups to postpone a match.
McGloughlin has now been called up by his national under 21 side meaning that three Preston players are unavailable so this Saturday's fixture has been called off. The game will now take place on Wednesday 19 October.
