The draw was made last night with Preston facing a trip to Championship Middlesborough int he 2nd Round of the League Cup. The game will take place in the week commencing 25 August 2014.
Preston last went to the Riverside under Phil Brown when Billy Jones scored a last minute equaliser in the season when Preston were relagated. They have faced Middlesborough since then in the League Cup where the Teesiders were victorious against a Graham Westley Preston side.
