Ben Pearson was left out of recent matchday squads after Alex Neil revealed that the midfielder had refused to sign a new contract with his current deal set to expire in the summer.
A number of destinations were rumoured and it is somewhat surprising that he has not signed for a Premier League club. The midfielder who has been outstanding in his five years at Preston joined Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee which is likely to be nowhere near a full valuation for the player.
The midfielder has improved his disciplinary issues over the past 18 months and will no doubt excel at Bournemouth as he has done at Preston. He will be missed but ultimately Preston must move forward.
