Snow has caused problems all round Preston in the week leading up to the festive period but thanks to the trusty covers and extra staff the snow has been cleared from the playing surface. A local referee declared the surface fit to play on at 10am this morning.
However, police then confirmed after the referree had done his inspection that the roads around the ground were unsafe for travelling fans and so the game has definitely been called OFF.
The club have apologised for mixed messages this morning but it shows the shambolic nature of the club once again that the police decide the game is off after a pitch inspection.
