Brown has not featured for several months after knee surgery but is likely to start tomorrow's game as Jon Parkin completed a move to Cardiff. It seems he will play some part in the game albeit he is unlikely to last the ninety minutes.
Five players have now left in the last couple of days with Matty James expected to return permanently to United in the near future whilst others who are out of contract this summer will be moved on for cash before the end of January.
