Preston have been building up in pre-season and Liverpool apart this was North End's toughest test of pre-season with Leivester at home to round things off atthe weekend.

Grayson said that he would be giving players longer game time int he last two pre-season friendlies in order to finalise his starting eleven for the notts County opening game.

The home side did not get off to the best start last night with the visitors having the best of the opening exchanges which culminated in an avoidable goal as far as Preston were concerned.

The homes side tried to play out from the back against nurnley who pressed high up the pitch. Jones in goal played out to Bailey Wright who was in a precarious position in any event. Wright delayed on the ball and two Burnley players were on him ina  matter of seconds. He was robbed of the ball and Jutkiewicz slotted past Jones.

Both keeper and Wright were to blame for the calamity but Grayson will want to see this stamped out after errors last season cost North End at times.

After twenty minutes or so the game changed and with it a quietening of the away section. Preston came into the game with some neat passing moves but could not find a breakthrough before the break.

Soon after half time Browne finished off a move with a close range effort in the box which was a deserved equaliser for the home side after enjoying a decent amount of possesison.

The midfield trio of Borwnhill, Browne and Kilenny worked well and may well be used during the season with Little and Gallagher supporting Garner up front.

The game looked to be heading towards a draw when Brownhill smashed in a free kick from 30 yards out in injury time. The youngster appears to be on good form in pre-season and with his first full season ahead of him things bode well for Brownhill.
