All seemed to have gone quiet on the Treacy front withthe international returning to pre-season trainign after Burnley had an initial bid of £850,000 rejected for the winger at the start of the summer.

With Burnley casjing in on Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears to the tune of £3m, Eddie Howe now has cash to spend and needs a winger for the start of the season. Treacy is valued at £1.5 million by North End and despite Brown not wishing to sell the player, if the price is right, the move will be sanctioned.
