Gainsborough Trinity 0-1 Barnsley

Odejayi 45

Much like how many Championship clubs like to play two teams in one night, North End included, Barnsley are no different. The Tykes sent two teams out to take on Gainsborough Trinity and Frickley Town.

Firstly, Barnsley recorded a 1-0 win away at Gainsborough Trinity thanks to a Kayode Odejayi goal on the stroke of half-time. Iain Hulme stole the headlines after making his return from his horrendous head injury but it was the Nigerian who scored the only goal of the game when he muscled his way through before thumping a low drive past goalkeeper Barnes in the Trinity goal.
