Clarke has split opinion in his time at Deepdale mainly over his ability to play at right full back. He has captained the side well and will be remembered for his winner against Blackpool in the League Cup.
It is understood that both Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing the defender although Preston would be very reluctant to let him go.
