Both sides created chances throughout the game although the better play seemed to come after the break. Wellbeck troubled the Blackpool defence on several occassions but the closest he came to scoring was a chip over the keeper that was cleared.

Ormerod played for Blackpool and had a chance to score from six yards out but missed his kick. The visitors hit the woodwork late on with a looing header but the ball was then cleared.

Preston came close on a couple of occassions. Sedgewick was put clean through but his lack of pace worked against hm and he couldn't finish accurately. Parkin also blasted a close range effort over.

That apart both sides created half chances heer and there but neither really edged the play over each other. Preston now travel to Derby in midweek before heading upp to Newcastle for nnext Saturday's fixture.
