North End stormed into a two goal lead with intensity and precision. The game was less than two minutes old when Preston cut through the back line of Blackburn.

A ball was played across the box where Barkhuizen fired home. It hasn't gone unnoticed that Preston's return to form has also coincided with Barkhuizen picking up in terms of his performances. He is on a good run and is vital to Preston's attacking cause.

Less than ten minutes later Callum Robinson doubled the lead and the away side looked stunned as they failed to compete with Preston who were surging forward.

The score remained the same at the break when the visitors made a change bringing Danny Graham on. Preston fell asleep at the back and within a matter of minutes Graham was free to head home a free kick.

Preston could have become nervous but they came back stronger not allowing their visitors to press on and get an equaliser. Pearson was impressive in midfield and Preston managed to regain their two goal lead.

Moult was on as a substitute and managed to poke home from close range as the ball was fired across the box. Shortly afterwards he found himself on the right where he crossed for Browne to hit Preston's fourth of the afternoon.

North End looked in control with the only worry being injuries to Robinson and Pearson who both had to be substituted. Preston have climbed the table and now remain uneaten since the start of October.
