Duo Depart

Several players are out of contract with the club or have a year left remaining on their deals. This is all thanks to the structure put in place when Westley was in charge to offer only two year deals at best which has been relatively successful.

Yesterday, utility man, Jack King, announced that he would be leaving the club when his contract expires to join League One Scunthorpe. King has featured in a varierty of positions from centre back, midfield and cente forward.

King was signed from non-league by Westley and has always given 100% throughout his time at the club. He has been a good squad player and could always be called upon. We wish him all the best at Scunthorpe.

The second player to move on is Keith Keane which was not unexpected. Keane once captained the side but this season has been loaned out to Crawley and Stevenage.

Keane was a committed charachter laying in midfield and at right back but his future always looked away from Deepdale from the start of this season. He will join Cambridge after his contract expires at Preston and we wish Keano all the best at his new club.
