The latest name to be linked to the club is former loanee Wayne Brown who played six games for the club under Alan Irvine. Preston wanted to sign Brown on permanently but he went back to his then parent club Hull to fight for a place before moving to Leicester where hehelped them to the play offs last season.
Brown is still under contract at Leicester with one year remaining but had a training ground bust up in May which could see him leave the Leicester club. No official word has been made from either camp over a move for Brown.
