Filling In The Gaps

North End have been playing catch up in terms of signings since an exodus in January of players in key positions. One such departure was first choice right back Fisher who was sold to Middlesbrough with his contract running down at Deepdale.

It is no secret that Preston have had difficulties at right back. Rafferty had a poor year last season and Browne often filled in defensively at times. A change late in the season to wing backs did assist somewhat with both Van den Berg and Barkhuzen helping out.

Olosunde should help answer some of Preston's right sided problems. The American was at Rotherham before his contract expired in the summer. North End snapped him up on a free transfer.

It is hoped that he can pin down a place on the right side of Preston's defence and help solidify the team who played better towards the end of last term.
