After all the talk of Borussia Dortmund, Celtic and a European tour, North End confirmed the familiar pre-season trip to Bamber Bridge will take place on 2 July.
It is hoped that this year the match can take place at Irongate after a deluge last year meant the match had to swiftly be switched to the Euxton training ground.
Preston will also travel to take on Accrington Stanley on 16 July which is just two weeks ahead of the season's opener. It seems that pre-season will be very condensed with more games to be confirmed for July.
