Fisher has had an outstanding first season at right back after signing last summer in what was one of Alex Neil's first moves as manager at the club. Many questioned the signing from Rotherham at the time but he has been a solid foundation at the back this season.
He still had two years remaining on his contract but he impressed so much that Preston offered him a new three year deal which will run until 2021.
