Preston's Second Round Carling Cup tie will take place on Tuesday 13 September with Charlton and Reading set to play their First Round clash next week.
The rearrangement has meant that Preston's match away at Hartlepool has been put back to Tuesday 29 November due to the cup tie taking place on 13 September.
